A couple of days ago, Miss Aubri Taylor turned one month old! Where does the time go? I've been lucky enough to have different family members stay with us almost every day over the course of the last month to help me as I adjust to life with 3 kids otherwise I don't know if we'd ever leave the house....or eat...or get anything else done all day.
I love the idea of monthly photos during a child's first year because their looks change so much in such a short period of time. It's a lot of fun to look back on the pictures at the end of their first year and see their physical changes. For Aubri, I've decided to do two sets of photos, one close-up to see the changes in her face, and one farther away to show how big she's gotten.
The close-up. Her eyes are still a dark blue-gray and as much as I hope they stay that color, I know they will inevitably turn brown. This baby blanket was made just for her by Dave's co-worker, who was nice enough to make a blanket for each one of our kids!
I'm not sure if this is Shaylin's or Landon's dog but it has been chosen as the stuffed animal that we will measure Aubri's monthly growth against. :)
Starting Aubri's monthly photos brought back memories of doing Landon's not too long ago. Here he is at 1 month, 6 months and 12 months. He started off almost as small as his lion. I can't believe he was ever that little! I'm going to think the same thing about Aubri in a year. Cue the mom cry...
I really wish I had had the discipline to do monthly photos for Shaylin, but with her, I only lasted 6 months. Honestly, she was a very "challenging" baby, and the photos just did not happen. Hopefully Aubri will be a cooperative baby so I can get both sets of photos in every month. #overambitiousmom
Here's to month two!

Carly
