In my younger days, I used to be the type of person that enjoyed going shopping anywhere. Browsing around was fun and the perk was that I could take things home on the spot. Fast forward many years and now as a busy mother of 3, shopping in an actual store is one of the things I actually sort of dread. Ha! That sounds awful, right?
But it's the truth. Shopping with my 3 kids in tow is probably one of the least relaxing activities I can think of. Forget browsing...I show up with a list in hand, organized by section in the store to ensure the trip goes by as quickly as possible. Oh, and I better remember snacks, water, lolipops, plus the iPad or iPhone ready to give up otherwise chaos is inevitable. Add in the potty breaks, in and out of carseats, cashier line, tantrums...and well, you get the picture.
Enter online shopping. I don't know how I ever lived before online shopping. And now even groceries can be delivered to your door for free via Amazon Prime. (Thanks to my friend Ann-Marie for that tip!) I can browse in bed in my LuLaRoe, and with a few clicks, find exactly what I need, read reviews, and have it on my way all while sipping some water (ahem, wine), and listening to YouTube videos in the background. Ah, productivity.
A while back my sister, who is very good with her finances, and with finding steals and deals, told me about Ebates. It's an online cash back program that actually pays you to shop through their affiliate link. I thought it sounded cool, but looking into it was just added to my already long list of things to do. It took me a long time to finally explore the site, and I wish I hadn't taken that long! I've been online shopping through their site now for awhile now and LOVE it. For all you skeptics out there, it really does work! I would never promote anything that I didn't actually try and love first!
Not every single store participates of course, but if you're lucky some of your favorites might. You get paid out every 3 months either by check or through PayPal.

Here's a tip. After you sign up, install the ebates cash back button onto your browser.
Each time you arrive at a participating store's website, the E button will flash with a red box around the E if there is a deal. A box will pop up offering you the opportunity to activate Ebates for that website. Simple as that!
